This is "Garden of Eden" naturally named because of the snake form that emerges from among the leaf forms. It started out like several others in the "Garden" series with plastic over multi-colored washes.
Artist Biography:
Faye grew up in Minnesota, attended Concordia Colleges in St. Paul, Minnesota, Seward, Nebraska, and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (BS) and University of Northern Iowa (MS) and achieved National Certification as an Art Educator.
Faye was invited to the White House by First Lady, Laura Bush as an Iowa artist chosen to create an ornament for the 2002 White House Christmas Tree.
As an Art Educator her paintings were exhibited for six consecutive national conventions in Washington, DC., Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Minneapolis, and Denver. Before retiring, Faye was named the Art Educators of Iowa’s Outstanding Middle School Art Teacher.
Currently Faye serves as president of the Central Florida Watercolor Society. She is a member of the Florida National Museum of Women in the Arts
Locally her work has been in shows at the Maitland Art Center, Seminole County Art Association Office, the Winter Park Library, the Maitland Library, the Steinway Piano Gallery, Altamonte Springs, the Plaza Theater, Winter Park, the Shakespeare Theater, Orlando, the University Club, Winter Park, Florida Hospital, Orlando, and the City Arts Factory, Orlando.
